The Westerly Storm 33 OOD is a well thought out cruiser / racer with an easily handled rig, good deck layout and spacious accommodation that is equally at home bashing round the cans or cruising gently with the family. Ivanhoe is a reasonable example of the class with updated rigging and sails but needs some attention to areas of headlining and other minor cosmetic items but has had her rig / sails updated and the engine regularly professionally maintained. A reasonably priced vessel and well worth viewing. Blue stackpack type mainsail cover with lazy jacks: new 2006. Steel single chine professionally built in Virginia USA in 1980, launched in 1986 Entire hull epoxy paint protected. Below waterline is additionally protected by three coats of vinyl paint(1998). Antifouled 2006. Topsides and deck repainted 2006. Woodwork revarnished 2005/6 Entire hull is insulated to the waterline with 2" foam eliminating condensation and giving excellent thermal insulation. Perkins 4.108 51 hp diesel engine, professionally serviced April 06 and May 07. Full canvas cockpit enclosure Bimini, Dodgers, Windbreaks. "Compass" underbed system (Nov 04) 2 Mattresses, new July 05 and April 06. 2 Stainless steel water tanks(190 litres each) underneath each settee berth (port tank replaced 2005). Bulkhead mounted Bengco charcoal heater (Nov.04); Major overhaul in 2005 new shower drainage installed, replumbed with new accumulator, new taps and plumbing.
