Service history Offshore Adventurer has been extensively renewed since 2007. Prior to the current owner purchasing her the engine was removed from the boat, stripped and had the head and block serviced. She also underwent repairs to her keel and floor area following damage whilst being moved ashore. This involved fibreglass reinforcement to the deck in the saloon area (including stringers) and the removal and replacement of the keel (with new keel bolts etc). This resulted in a significant strengthening of the boat over the standard lay-up, and an engine that starts immediately and runs smoothly.
With the modifications we made in 2008 she proved a great boat to live on for 4 weeks in the summer. The uprated electrics and inverter allowed us to heat water without using the engine at anchor and for a hair dryer (!) to be used onboard (important to some!). Whilst the sail wardrobe of #1 light, #1 furling, #2 furling, #3 furling plus two mainsails ensure she can be sailed!
