The Salar 40 fitted with the long keel and over 10tons displacement is the classic long distance sailing boat. Fitted with a Perkins engine was overhauled by Perkins to factory standards in 1990 and serviced every year. Mast and boom were re-sprayed in 2003, all standing rigging was replaced in 2003.
