She was completed to a very high standard by her owner and has proved herself well by sailing some 25,000 miles of blue water since then. The Westerly Storm 33 OOD is a well thought out cruiser / racer with an easily handled rig, good deck layout and spacious accommodation that is equally at home bashing round the cans or cruising gently with the family. Ivanhoe is a reasonable example of the class with updated rigging and sails but needs some attention to areas of headlining and other minor cosmetic items but has had her rig / sails updated and the engine regularly professionally maintained. A reasonably priced vessel and well worth viewing. Blue stackpack type mainsail cover with lazy jacks: new 2006. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a traditionally styled centre cockpit yacht with good sea keeping qualities, high specification and modern equipment. Shoal draft capabilities, bowthruster and new spars and sails including in-mast furling main make this an ideal choice for short handed sailing and blue water cruising. A professional 6 year major refit has just been completed to a high standard so early viewing is highly recommended. Engine and control panel were both new when professionally installed by Volspec in 1999 and have only been used for sea trials since in 2006. During her current ownership 'October Girl' has undergone a major refit which began in 1999 and was completed in 2006. This included the hull being sandblasted and epoxy treated, topsides and superstructure repainted and all external woodwork replaced or revarnished. Many fixtures and fittings were also replaced along with the masts, booms, furling systems, rigging, sails, electrical and gas installations, instrumentation, engine, water and fuel tanks, shaft, propeller, windows, pushpit, pulpit and rubbing strake. In addition she has been updated with a holding tank, bowthruster and electric windlass fitted and her interior has had new upholstery, curtains, headlinings, furniture, cooker and sink.
