Built for Peter De Savery in 1982 as the British contender for the America's Cup in 1983 and designed by Ed Dubois. A newer Ian Howlett design with wings, 'Victory 83', was eventually used in the 1983 America's Cup although it was considered that K21 'Victory of Burnham' was the faster boat.
